Hey y'all. I've gotten a request for some of my mocktail and cocktail recipes. So here's one of them!

Hardware

• Muddler (or back of a spoon)
• Soda Siphon (or just buy club soda, I'm not your dad)
• Collins glass (Basically an iced-tea glass. A pint will do)

Software

• 7-ish mint leaves
• 1/2 oz simple syrup
• 3/4 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
• 1 1/2 oz white rum (optional)
• Ice
• Soda water

Directions

Place mint leaves, simple syrup, lime juice and possibly rum in glass. Smash mint against glass with muddler or spoon. Fill glass with ice, then fill with soda water.

This drink is awesome with or without rum and is quite refreshing either way. If you like this drink or any other soda-like homemade cocktails, I would recommend obtaining a soda siphon. While it is a slight pain in the backside to use, it's nice to not have to stock bulky two-litre bottles of soda water. Also this drink is very forgiving, so if you want it to taste more like lime, or be more or less sweet, adjust ingredients accordingly.
